Indiana basketball continues Big Ten Conference play in its 125th season of competition at Ohio State at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, Jan. 17, at Value City Arena in Columbus. The Hoosiers have dropped their last two games by a combined 50-points.
The Buckeyes enter the game with a record of 10-7 (2-4 Big Ten) under second-year head coach John Diebler. Ohio State is led by 17.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game from junior guard Bruce Thornton. Sophomore forward Devin Royal adds 13.8 points and a team-best 7.4 rebounds per contest. Freshman guard John Mobley Jr. has averaged 11.9 points per night and made a team-high 37 3-pointers on 43.0% from behind the arc.
Tipoff is set for 8:00 PM on FOX.

Leal picks up a foul. Rice picks up a foul and OSU scores too. Buckeyes up three.
Ballo with another bucket. OSU got called for a travel.
OSU getting too many easy drives so far. Hoosiers need to step up and cut those off.
Indiana turnover, then a OSU turnover.
Mgbako three but missed. Ballo with another cleanup.

Mgbako with an inbounds to Rice and scored. Carlyle comes in for Rice who has two fouls.

Trey Galloway hurting. Thornton lands on top of Galloway, limping at the bench. Indiana can’t afford to keep losing guys. Hope to see him check back in before the end of the half.
OSU on a 7-0 run now. Lead 27-22. Indiana calls timeout.
Ballo finds Mack who decides not to shoot but does drive and got fouled. He goes 2-2 at the line.
Baseline dribble pull up by Goode.
OSU leads 32-26 with 3:12 to go in the half.
Indiana turnover. Not looking good for the Hoosiers right now.
Carlyle with some really hustle plays on defense tonight.
Goode gets fouled on the three point shot. He goes 3-3 at the line.
Carlyle got fouled. He missed the front end of a 1 and 1, however.
Ballo got a block. Hoosiers hold for one shot. Ballo gets called for the illegal screen, however.
It’s been a really ugly game so far but with Myles Rice sitting the final 15 minutes of the half due to foul trouble IU still remains in striking distance. They’re gonna need Rice to help cut into this deficit in the second half.
Hoosiers don’t allow a bucket from OSU and we go to Halftime.

Second Half
Ohio State with the ball. Hoosiers force a turnover. Mgbako goes up strong and scores.
Mgbako missed three. Ballo Rebound. Back out to Goode. Goode drive and get fouled. He goes 2-2 at the line.
Myles Rice picks up his 3rd foul. Galloway checks in.
Goode hits a three to cut the lead down to 3.
Galloway finds Ballo and Ballo gets fouled on the ‘oop attempt. Ballo goes 1-2 at the line.
The Galloway-Ballo connection in full force this game. Real nice chemistry between these two.
Ballo got AND1 play to drop. Hoosiers down 1.
I just want to see this Indiana team play with just a little bit more sense of urgency this game. Feel like they are a little too conservative at the moment. Having a lot of “hoping this works” type of moments tonight.
Galloway steal. Calls timeout. OSU up 41-40 with 16:17 to go.
Galloway turnover. OSU looses the ball and its a jump ball. Indiana basketball gets the ball back. Lucky break there.
Goode nails a tough three. Hoosiers back up with the 43-41 lead.
OSU ties it up.
Galloway hits a tough shot for Indiana to get the lead back. OSU hits a three, however.
Ballo tough drive and scores. Defensive stop. Goode hits a three. Hoosiers up 4.

OSU hits a three. Hoosiers up 1.

Rice steal and finds Carlyle in the fast break. Reverse layup and get the bucket plus the foul. Misses the free throw but Ballo gets it back out and Galloway hits a deep three.
Teardrop bucket by Goode. Hoosiers up 10. Career-high 20 points for Luke Goode tonight — with 5 minutes remaining. Has been fantastic.

Indiana called a timeout. They did not get a shot they wanted and there is a shot clock violation. OSU ball with 15.5 left.
