  • No concert tonight like there was the last two years.
  • The did a 3v3 Championship game before tonight’s game. Team Ricky Rubio vs Team Mike Woodson’s Goatee. Fantastic names.
  • Former Indiana basketball guard and current head coach of Jeffersonville HS Sherron Wilkerson in the house here at Assembly Hall for Hoosier Hysteria. Love to see it!

  • “Our sights are set high, our expectations for this program are always set high, that’s the way it’ll always be.”
  • Teri Moren says that she wants every seat to be filled every single night for the the women’s team.
  • Teri Moren pointing at the National Championship banners: “We want one of those.”

Mike Woodson:

  • Mike Woodson also confirms that Indiana has the best fans in college basketball.
  • An opportunity to win a Big Ten title.”
  • Woodson on his transfers: “I love everything about them.”
  • Mike Woodson on Bryson Tucker. “He’s the only freshman we have on our roster, but he does not play like a freshman.”…..”Boy, I love everything about him.”
  • “It’s not about me. It’s about what Bob Knight built.”

Competition Notes:

  • First competition of the night for Hoosier Hysteria is the skills competition.
  • Team Malik Reneau vs Team Myles Rice in the championship game of the skills competition.
  • Myles Rice’s team wins the Skills Competition.
  • Three-point competition up next.
  • Women’s team going first.
  • Shay Ceisky wins the three-point competition for the Indiana basketball women’s team.
  • We got a knockout game with both the men’s and women’s team.
  • Luke Goode and Kanaan Carlyle get put out almost instantly.
  • Sydney Parrish wins the knockout challenge. Anthony Leal was the last men’s player to be eliminated.
  • No three-point challenge for the men’s team.

Scrimmage:

  • Worth noting, both Jakai Newton and Trey Galloway are going through the warmup period.
  • Jakai Newton NOT going through the three man weave warmup. Does not look like he is going to play in the scrimmage.
  • Looking like the teams are split up between first and second unit. Both Trey Galloway and Kanaan Carlyle are with the first unit squad.
  • We got Mike Woodson coaching the first unit and Yasir Rosemond coaching the second unit.
  • Kanaan Carlyle starts in place of Trey Galloway. Not official until the first game but it looks like your starting backcourt for Indiana will be Rice and Carlyle this season. Sixth-man Trey Galloway is back!
  • Oumar Ballo gets the first points with a bucket plus the foul. He hits the free-throw.
  • Luke Goode knocks down his first three point attempt….and then hits another in transition. Smoooooth.
  • We got some lineups being switched around. Love to see Woodson and his staff doing this.
  • Little buddy ball action with a Reneau perimeter pass to Ballo for the easy two. You can already tell a major difference in the spacing of this Indiana team.
  • Indiana senior center Langdon Hatton has looked really good in this scrimmage. Could be the surprise of this team.
  • Mike Woodson now coaching both teams.
  • Malik Reneau has for sure improved his handles.
  • Trey Galloway did not play in the scrimmage.
