Former Indiana basketball center Thomas Bryant is back in the state of Indiana.
As reported by ESPN Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania, the Miami Heat have traded center Thomas Bryant to the Indiana Pacers. The report also states that the Pacers will send a swap of a future second-round pick to the Heat for Bryant, who is trade-eligible on Sunday.
The former Indiana basketball standout big has appeared in just 10 games this year so far averaging 4.1 points and 3.4 rebounds. With the Pacers needing more depth on a depleted front court and Thomas Bryant needing a change of scenery, this trade fits very well for both squads. It also opens up more playing time for fellow former Indiana basketball big Kel’el Ware, who is in the middle of his rookie season with the Miami Heat.

Other accolades that Thomas Bryant earned during his time playing for the Hoosiers included Third-team All-Big Ten (2016) and Big Ten All-Freshman team (2016).
