2025 in-state guard Braylon Mullins is now entering the next phase of his recruiting process following the Adidas 3SSB Championship this week. Playing down in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Mullins helped lead Indiana Elite to the Championship game on Sunday following a terrific season on the Adidas Circuit. Indiana Elite fell to Utah Prospects 61-51, however.
Indiana Elite was undefeated coming into this week but dropped the first two games of pool play before making it to the Championship game. Mullins scored 22 points on 5-of-13 shooting and hit four 3s. He was the only player in double-figures for Indiana Elite.
This week was a live period for college coaches and the Indiana basketball staff went four-deep for all of Friday, including Mike Woodson. Assistant coaches Kenya Hunter and Brian Walsh were in on Thursday and multiple members of the staff were in on Saturday and Sunday.
With the summer circuit done for Indiana Elite and the majority of the events and camps done for the summer, Mullins is looking at the next phase of his recruiting process. He had a tremendous spring and summer averaging 19.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. He shot 47.3 percent from three (62-of-131) this season. In tournament play, he had nine 20+ point games as Indiana Elite finished 16-1.
Mullins averaged 17.3 points and shot 35 percent from three this week.
Braylon Mullins on to next phase in recruitment
Now, it’s on to visits for Mullins — including a significant visit to the Indiana basketball program with Indiana Elite teammates Trent Sisley and Malachi Moreno. They will be in Bloomington at the end of September. In addition to Indiana, Mullins will be visiting UConn, Michigan, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and Purdue. It’s a very busy stretch coming up for the borderline 5-star guard.
Sources have been consistent in telling HoosierIllustrated.com that a list cut would likely come after the AAU season ended and towards the end of summer. We are at that point now and Mullins seemed to confirm that this weekend.
“I’m gonna cut it down to like seven or eight after this week in Rock Hill,” Mullins told Jason Jordan of Rivals.com. “It’ll be hard, but I’m really looking forward to focusing on a smaller number of schools to get to know the coaches and see the schools. I don’t know when I’ll commit, but I don’t see myself waiting until spring. I want to sign in the early period. I do think it’ll get harder because I have really great options.”
Mullins is ranked No. 29 in the Rivals rankings.
He was also the biggest riser in the 247Sports class of 2025 updated rankings, jumping 68 spots in their rankings up to No. 24 overall and the No. 5 overall shooting guard in the class. His massive boost was on the heels of a junior season when he averaged 25.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and shot 43 percent (61-of-143) from three. That was all while dealing with a back injury.
Indiana basketball has been heavily involved with Mullins for the last year and really started to prioritize him in the winter. He is clearly one of the top options — if not the top option – for Indiana.
