One of the top prospects in the 2026 class has set another unofficial visit to Indiana basketball.
As reported by 247Sports National Basketball Recruiting Analyst Dushawn London, 2026 five-star wing Anthony Thompson will be taking an unofficial visit to Indiana basketball on December 29th. He is expected to be in attendance for the Hoosiers game vs Winthrop.
This will be Thompson’s third unofficial visit to Indiana basketball. He recently visited the Hoosiers back in June and was offered by Indiana February of 2024.
“It was a very nice visit and the coaching staff treated my family and me very well,” Thompson told HoosierIllustrated.com. “The coaches like my versatility on both sides of the floor. They think that I could be a great addition to the IU program.
“They (Indiana) have a great history and very bright future.”
He currently holds offers from schools such as Ohio State, Cincinnati, Purdue, Illinois, Texas, Penn State, Iowa, Notre Dame, Louisville, Auburn, Michigan State, Michigan, Kansas, UCLA, Kentucky, and many others.
Thompson is a lefty wing who was excellent this spring for Indiana Elite. He averaged 16.3 points per game and was second in the 16U division in points per possession with 1.18.
“Thompson drew high praise last month to kick off the Adidas 3SSB series and for great reason,” 247Sports national reporter Brandon Jenkins wrote. “A 6-foot-7 forward out of Lebanon (Ohio) High, Thompson is a long-armed lefty who shoots an extremely soft ball from deep. He showed great touch from long range this weekend. He additionally has tremendous instincts and possesses a world of talent to go along with a high ceiling. Thompson should be expected to make a lofty debut in next month’s national 2026 player ranking update.”
He is the No. 9 overall prospect int he 247Sports Composite Rankings.
