The Indiana basketball program extended offers to two 2026 four-star guards on Saturday.

Trinity (Ky.) four-star guard Jayden Johnson and Newport (Ky.) guard Tay Kinney both earned offers from Indiana while they were on campus for Indiana’s game against Penn State.

Johnson — a recruitment that the Hoosiers had been involved with for quite some time — had been on numerous visits to Indiana over the last few months.

Johnson is ranked No. 37 overall in the 247Sports composite rankings and is the top-rated player in Kentucky for the class.

Currently he holds offers from Cincinnati, West Virginia, Texas A&M, Missouri and others.

“Among the most skilled wings in camp was Louisville product Jayden Johnson,”247Sports National Basketball Director Eric Bossi wrote last summer. “Standing about 6-foot-5 or so he’s a nice sized wing, has some ball skills and looks like he’s going to be a tremendous jump shooter. He was able to create space for his shot anytime he wanted to and looked pretty poised for a freshman in that setting.”

Tay Kinney is a newer name that popped up on the Indiana radar last fall and has seen his recruitment with Indiana progress over the last few month. He holds offers from Tennessee, Cincinnati, Illinois, College of Charleston and others.

Kinney took a visit to Indiana for Hoosier Hysteria earlier this year.

Kinney is a terrific scoring guard and had a 49-point performance earlier this season.

The 6-foot-1 guard is ranked No. 56 in the country and is the No. 2 player in Kentucky behind Johnson.
