The Indiana basketball program extended an offer to 2025 center Chris Cenac, one of the hottest prospects in the country.

Following the first live evaluation period of the spring, Indiana basketball added a new prospect to its recruiting board as it extended a scholarship offer to 2025 center Chris Cenac of Isidore Newman (La.) High School.

Cenac is playing on the Puma Pro16 AAU circuit this summer and is one of the biggest risers over the last month. In the last week alone, he has picked up offers from Kansas, Baylor, Alabama, Creighton, Texas, Illinois and Indiana.

Cenac is a 6-foot-10 and 230-pound center who averaged 13.9 points 10.2 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 1.3 blocks this season with Isadore. That included a monster performance against DeMatha when he had 27 points and 21 rebounds.

While Cenac has always been one of the more talented centers in the 2025 class, it wasn’t until this spring that he has really emerged as a major prospect.

He was a standout during one of the Pro16 events in April.

“Offensively, he brings value inside and out, but he truly specialized on the defensive end this weekend,” 247Sports national analyst Brandon Jenkins wrote. “He has natural instincts as a rim protector and is alert at patrolling the paint. Additionally, he is mature in his approach to the game which gives him an upside worth banking on. The New Orleans native tracks well as a candidate for a big rise in the next rankings update.”

Currently, Cenac is ranked the No. 33 overall player in the 247Sports Composite Rankings and the No. 4 center in the class.
