The Indiana basketball program extended a scholarship offer on Thursday to 2025 five-star guard Darius Adams.
Adams plays for PSA Cardinals on the Nike EYBL circuit and transferred to national powerhouse prep program La Lumiere (Ind.) this offseason, where he will join fellow Indiana target and 2025 prospect Jalen Haralson.
PSA Cardinals is also the AAU program that Indiana target and 2024 five-star guard Boogie Fland starred with this summer.
The 6-foot-4 combo guard is ranked No. 22 overall in the 247Sports Composite Rankings and is the No. 5 player at his position. He currently holds offers from Indiana, Florida State, Virginia, Syracuse, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and others.
Adams averaged 20.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game as a sophomore at Manasquan (NJ) last season.
Adams has been on the Indiana basketball radar for most of the summer, with the coaching staff watching the talented guard numerous times during live evaluation periods.
Adams averaged 17.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game during Peach Jam in July. He was 11-of-29 from three in five games.
“I would say I excel at creating for other people, and scoring the ball,” Adams told 247Sports national analyst Dushawn London this summer. “Right now I’m working on my ball handling every day and I’ve been playing a lot of pick up. I feel like it helps me get other people involved and improve my game.”
The talented guard is a long, quick and shifty guard who is tremendous at creating for himself. He is a very good shooter with extended range and showed the ability to make both off of the dribble and or catch and shoot opportunities.
