Indiana football kicks off week two of the season as they host the Indiana State Sycamores. Both teams are looking for their first win of the season.

Last week, Indiana football fell to Ohio State 23-3 but showed some good signs of improvement from the past few seasons. This is looked at as a game that Indiana football should control.

Indiana will host Indiana State for the seventh time in program history with all seven meetings between the two programs having come inside Memorial Stadium. Indiana football is 6-0 all-time against the Sycamores.

Below is the full live blog plus recap.

First Quarter

Indiana has absolutely dominated the first quarter — mainly led by Tayven Jackson.

Jackson, who left briefly midway through the quarter due to injury but returned, has led Indiana to three touchdowns.

He is 7-of-9 for 102 yards and had a 10-yard rushing touchdown.

Jaylin Lucas has two 25-yard rushing touchdowns.

Indiana is up 21-0 after one quarter.

Second Quarter

Seven different wide receivers have caught a pass for Indiana midway through the second quarter.

The defense has let up a bit, letting ISU into Indiana’s territory.

Tayven Jackson is 9-of-11 for 140 yards. Brendan Sorsby is 1-of-1 for 31 yards.

After Indiana forces an interception in the endzone and moves the ball down the field, it’s a 73-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown for Indiana State. Jaylin Lucas was the Hoosier to fumble.

Sorsby is now 3-of-4 for 50 yards.

Third Quarter

Tayven Jackson continues to play, going 15-of-18 for 202 yards.

Jackson has been phenomenal tonight and looks to be taking over the starting QB job.

Omar Cooper leads the Indiana wideouts with 63 receiving yards. Seven Indiana receivers have caught at least two passes tonight.

Indiana is up 31-7.

Fourth Quarter
