Indiana basketball returns to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall for the third straight game as the Hoosiers host the Wright State Raiders. The Hoosiers are coming off one of their more uglier games under the Mike Woodson era, however, were able to squeak out a 72-64 win over Army last Sunday.
The Raiders enter the contest with an 0-2 record after dropping games against Colorado State (105-77) and Toledo (78-77) to open the season. Wright State is coached by three-time Horizon Coach of the Year Scott Nagy. Wright State was picked third in the Horizon League preseason poll.
Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.

Wright State guard Trey Calvin — the second-leading scorer in the country at 27.5 points per game — is out for today’s game.

First Half
Indiana wins the tip and we are off. Kel’el Ware would score first out of a post-up. Wright State would tie it up.
Indiana would have their first turnover of the game with a backcourt violation.
Trey Galloway with a three from a nice screen from Malik Reneua. Wright State turnover would lead to an easy layup for Mackenzie Mgbako.
This is the best start for Indiana on offense so far this season. Mackenzie Mgbako being real aggressive on offense as well.
Hoosiers start 6-7 from the field, 2-3 from three.

Malik Reneau woulds core out of the break. Galloway did a good job of finding the open Reneau.
Gabe Cupps first off the bench for Indiana. Replaces Xavier Johnson.
Mgabko would go 2-2 at the line.
Reneau would get fouled on the shot attempt. He would go 0-2 at the line. Payton Sparks in for Ware.
Anthony Walker in for Reneau.
CJ Gunn in for Mgbako. Galloway would go 2-2 at the line.
Wright State has no answers for Trey Galloway right now. He is all over them in all areas.
Banks would check in for Galloway after he went 1-2 at the line.

CJ Gunn with a steal and score. He would let his man score but would come right back down and hit a three. Great stretch fro the sophomore.

Starting unit returns to the floor.
Wright State would hit a shot at the end of the shot clock buzzer but Xavier Johnson would answer with a three.
Trey Galloway would have another hard drive that resulted in a foul. He had been doing that all game. He would go 2-2 at the line.
Wright State would hit back-to-back threes. Wright State would hit back-to-back threes. However, Indiana continues to be aggressive in attacking the lane to answer.
Mgbako would pick up his second foul. Woodson keeps him in. CJ Gunn would eventually check in.
Wright State on a 6-0 run now, hitting their last 5-5.

Trey Galloway free throws out of the break. He would go 1-2 at the line. Xavier Johnson would pick up his first foul at the other end.
A little high-low action with Ware and Reneau leads to score plus the foul for Reneau. He missed the FT attempt, however.
Wright State would nail a three. Galloway would try to answer but would air-ball his attempt.
Offense would stall but Johnson would create with a strong drive and bucket. Indiana 52-48.
Reneau would pick up his first foul on the other end.
Galloway would miss a three but Ware would have a put-back slam. Wraith State went zone.

The last play for Indiana would be broken up which resulted in Reneau taking a long three that he missed horribly.
At the half: Indiana basketball 54, Wright State 49
Second Half
Wright State ball to start the half.
Trey Galloway would quickly pick up his second foul. Malik Reneau would miss a one-handed dunk. Hoosiers would tun around and get a stop on defense.
Mgbako would have a nice drive that led to a baseline pull-up. Hoosiers would get a turnover and lead to a Johnson easy score.
A bad drive attempt would lead to a three from Wright State.
Trey Galloway would pick up his third foul. CJ Gunn would come in.
Johnson would pick up his second foul. Very questionable call.
Reneau would block a drive attempt which led to Mgabko getting the rebound. Johnson would miss and open three attempt but Mgbako got the rebound and got fouled.
Under-16 Media Timeout: Indiana basketball 62, Wright State 58.
Mgbako would go 2-2 at the line out of the break.
Wright State would cut into the lead 66-60. Sparks in for Ware.
CJ Gunn would airball a baseline jumper from the inbounds but Reneau would put it back up for two.
Hoosiers call a timeout at the 13:00 mark. Up 68-60.
Wright State’s Tanner Holden who leads all scorers with 20 points just picked up his fourth foul with 13 mins to go.
Sparks would get fouled out of the break on the shot attempt. He would miss both attempts.
Soars would get fouled again and go 1-2 at the line.

Indiana ball out of the break. Anthony Walker would score off an assist from Gunn.
Kel’el Ware back in for Sparks. Wright State would nail a three.
Johnson and Galloway back in for Cupps and Gunn.
Wright State would cut the lead to 71-65…then 71-67.
Finally a positive play out of Indiana would be a rebound from Galloway that led to a Banks transition layup plus the foul.

Banks would miss the FT attempts out of the break. He would then pick up a foul. Mgbako checks in.
