The HoosiersIllustrated.com live blog for Indiana basketball vs Northwestern on Sunday afternoon. Tip is at 3:00 pm ET.

Indiana basketball continues its 124th season of competition with a Sunday afternoon clash against the Northwestern Wildcats at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers are coming off a 8-day break with their last time on the floor resulting in a blowout loss to in-state rival Purdue.

Tip off is set for 3:00 PM ET on FS1

Northwestern, led by 11th-year head coach Chris Collins, comes in with an overall record of 17-8 and a mark of 8-6 in conference play.

Fifth-year senior guard Boo Bouie leads the Cats in scoring (19.2 points per game), assists (5.2), and made 3-pointers (60). Junior guard Brooks Barnhizer averages 14.3 points and a team-best 7.0 rebounds per game.

Fifth-year senior guard Ryan Langborg (11.6 points per game) has made 51 3-pointers on 39.8% shooting. As a team, Northwestern shoots 39.4% from deep on 21.4 attempts per game.

Northwestern was up 30-19 but a three by Cupps brought the scoring drought for the Hoosiers.

Back-to-back huge slams from both Ware and Walker. Northwestern calls a timeout. Crowd finally feels energized.

Second Half

Indiana ball to start off the half.

Malik Reneau gets the bucket plus the foul right out of the gate. He makes the free throw.

Strong Mackenzie Mgbako drives cuts the Northwestern lead to 34-31.

Another strong drive from Mgbako gets him to the foul line. He goes 2-2. Indiana basketball down one.

Trey Galloway picks up his first foul.

Under-16 Media Timeout: Northwestern 40, Indiana 35

Mgbako three out of the break.

Indiana got the NW lead down to just one but the Wildcats hit a huge three.

Mgbako got to the line but went just 1-2. Hoosiers down three.

Under-12 media timeout: Northwestern 48, Indiana 43

Ware bucket out of the timeout.

Kel’el Ware picks up his third foul.

Northwestern has extended the lead to 55-45.

Mike Woodson calls a timeout with 9:47 left.

Steal by Galloway gets an Mgbako transition bucket.

Officials took time to look at a potential hook-and-hold call. They determined it not to be the case.

Northwestern leads 58-47 with 8:16 left. 

Ware fouled. He goes 0-2 at the line.

Anthony Leal gets fouled going after a loose ball but misses the front end of a 1-and-1.

Boo Buie hits what is basically a dagger three. Northwestern up 61-47 with 6:36 left. 

Malik Renau picks up his fifth foul.

Cupps nails a three to cut into the lead. Gunn goes 2-2 at the line.

Mgabko gets fouled on a rebound. He goes 1-2 at the line.

Northwestern leads 67-60 with 1:05 left.

Mgbako for three cuts the lead to 68-53 46.8 secs left.

Ware bucket cuts the lead to 70-65.

Another Ware bucket cuts the lead 71-67 with 25.0 left.

Gabe Cupps would foul out.

Galloway hits a three. Northwestern up 75-72 with 7.9 left. Timeout Northwestern.

Northwestern goes 1-2 at the line. Hoosiers down four.
