Indiana basketball begins a two-game road slate in Big Ten play during its 124th season of competition at Ohio State tonight. The Hoosiers are coming off an embarrassing home loss to Penn State over the weekend.
The Buckeyes (13-9, 3-8) have lost seven of nine games since the turn of the new year, including four straight. Sophomore guard Bruce Thornton leads the OSU offensive attack with 15.6 points and 4.3 assists per game. Fifth-year senior forward Jamison Battle posts 14.2 points and 5.3 rebounds, while sophomore guard Roddy Gayle Jr. scores 14.0 points per night.

Reneau gets fouled next offensive possession. He would go 1-2 at the line.
Hoosiers get a steal but can’t convert on the other end. Ohio State takes the 4-3 lead.
Ware bobbles a pass and turns it over.
Mgbako trail three ties it up at 6.
Reneau gets fouled again. Will FTs out of the break

Reneau goes 2-2 out of the break the line.
Reneau picks up his first foul.
Trey Galloway hits a deep 2 off a screen from Ware.
Ohio State extends the lead 13-10.
Cupps misses a three but Galloway gets the rebound and get the FT attempts. He goes 2-2 at the line.
Walker and Leal in for Mgbako and Ware.
Walkers gets fouled in transition. He goes 2-2 at the line.

CJ Gunn in for Cupps. War ein for Reneau.
Steal by Gunn but they can’t convert on the transition bucket. Gunn picked up a body foul too.
Kel’el Ware with two fouls. Sparks comes in.
Ohio State goes on a 9-0 run and extends the lead to 25-15. Indiana basketball timeout.
Sparks gets fouled.
Officials took an extended look to see if Sparks elbowed Zed Key in the face on the drive. It was deterred to be a Flagrant 1 foul but Sparks was able to go 1-2 on his Ft attempts.

Cupps picks up his 2nd foul. Gunn checks in.
CJ Gunn picks up his 2nd foul.
Reneau gets fouled. He goes 2-2 at the line.
Leal goes for a defensive rebound but a foul is called on Ohio State’s Zed Key. Leal goes 0-2 at the line.
Mgbako picks up his 2nd foul.
Reneau fouled again. Goes 1-2.
At the half: Ohio State 42, Indiana basketball 29
Second Half:
Indiana ball out of the break.
Technical foul called on Malik Reneau was not happy with no-call on the offensive end.
Reneau slam. Indiana still down 47-31.
Trey Galloway three. Indiana’s second total three.
Media timeout at 16:14: Ohio State leads 49-36
Ohio State extends the lead to 51-36 with 15:30 left.
Galloway scores out of the break.
Hoosiers cut the lead to 51-42 with 13:20 to go.
Mgbako picks up his third foul. Leal checks back in.
Under-12 Media Timeout: Ohio State 55, Indiana 46
Hoosiers slowly chipping away at the lead. Have to pick up of the intensity on defense.
Reneau gets fouled. He goes 1-2 at the line. Ohio State still leads 55-47.
Kel’el Ware picks up his 4th foul.
Ohio State extends the lead to 60-47.
Gabe Cupps picks up his 4th foul.
One thing is for sure, the refs have been really heavy on the whistles tonight.
Under-8 Media timeout: Ohio State 63, Indiana basketball 53
Trey Galloway hits a three to cut the Ohio State lead down to 7.
Hoosiers get a defensive stop and Mgbako draws the foul with 5:57 left. He hits both. Hoosiers down 5.
Another Indiana stop leads to Reneau doing the foul. He went 1-2 at the line.
Galloway floatter cuts the lead to just 2 by Ohio State. Galloway would then draw the offensive foul. Hoosiers are rolling at the right time.
Reneau picks up another foul. Ohio State extends the lead to 4 with 4:30 left.
Galloway three cuts the lead to just 67-66.
Last media timeout: Ohio State 69, Indiana 68
Ware buckets gives Indiana the lead 70-69 with 2:30 left. Hoosiers then force a turnover.
Strong rebound from Leal. He got fouled too. He goes 1-2 at the line. Hoosiers up 2.
Ware gets called for goaltending. Officials reviewing. Tied at 71 with 1:40 left. Call would stand.
Shot clock violation on Indiana. 1:10 to play.
Scramble for the rebound on defense for Indiana but it was off Ware. Ohio State ball with 42.7 left.
Battle was fouled. He goes 2-2 at the line. Ohio State up 74-71.
Mike Woodson timeout with 32.6 left.
Anthony Leal three to give the Hoosiers the lead! Fantastic drive and find from Galloway. Indiana up 74-73 with 22 seconds left.
Indiana gets the steal but Ware gets his legs twisted up on the fast break. Leal got the rebound and was fouled.
Ware comes out of the game. Leal hits the first FT. Ohio State calls timeout. Leal hits his second. Hoosiers up three.
Ohio State misses three to tie it.
