Indiana basketball continues Big Ten Conference play in its 125th season of competition against No. 13/14 Purdue at 1:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 23, at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Hoosiers are coming off a week long break after suffering a loss to UCLA.
The Boilermakers enter the game on a three-game skid and a record of 19-8 (11-5 Big Ten) under 20th-year head coach Matt Painter. Purdue is led by 16.1 points, 8.8 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game from junior guard Braden Smith. Junior forward Trey Kaufman-Renn has added a team-best 19.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per night.
Tipoff is set for 1:30 ET on CBS.

Purdue wins the tip and we are off. Smith misses a jumper and the ball goes off of Purdue. Indiana got the basketball but turned it over and Purdue scored.
Crazy possession that saw a lot of offensive rebounds. Galloway got a baseline floater to drop.
Sloppy game right now. Tied at 2.
There was a big review after a tie up with Leal and Furst. Nothing was called however.

Leal will score too from an assist from Reneau.
Goode would pick up a foul. Ballo subs in for Reneau.

Ballo would miss a shot over Kaufman. Purdue would not score and Reneau would get another rebound. Carlyle would miss another three attempt.

Indiana basketball with a turnover leads to Loyer hitting a three and ties it up.
Purdue takes the lead. 23-22. Hoosiers a little asleep now.
Leal draws a charge on Furst.

Mike Woodson call timeout at the 28-21 mark. Purdue is on a 15-2 run and Indiana has not scored in the last 4:21.
Reneau breaks the scoring drought. Assist by Galloway.
Purdue calls a timeout with 3:05 left in the half. Hoosiers down 31-23.
Hoosiers get a stop out of the break. Ballo got the ball stolen from and Colvin hits a three to extend the lead up 11.
Smith would foul Leal going after the ball.
Leal would get a score to cut it to 9. Loyer would hit a three however. Boilers up 12.

Second Half
Same starters on the floor for Indiana. Hoosiers have to find a way to win this.
Rice misses a floater but out of bounds on Purdue. Rice would hit a three, however.
Steal by Leal leads to a Galloway dunk.
Another steal by Galloway leads a Leal fast break layup. Matt Painter calls timeout.
Furst scores for Purdue out of the break. Indiana basketball gets called for an illegal screen.
Rice with an airball.
Reneau finds Galloway on as smooth cut. Hoosiers have to find more stops.
Indiana forces a shot clock violation. Luke Goode drills a corner three. Hoosiers down 2.
Indiana is alive again. Fantastic effort on both ends of the floor early in the second half.
Purdue leads 39-37 at the 15:39 mark.
Reneau slam to tie it up but he would then pick up a foul. TKR would go 1-2 at the line.
Smith turns it over and Leal finds Luke Goode for the layup plus the foul. He would nail the free throw.
Rice with a steal and scores.
Indiana basketball now on a 14-1 run. Purdue calls another timeout.
Indiana basketball gets another stop out of the timeout. Galloway to Reneau and he scores plus the foul. He would make the free throw. Hoosiers up 9.
Reneau would pick up a foul and Ballo now comes in.
Another stop by Indiana but Smith would kick the ball on the fast break. Rice would hit a tough jumper to extend the lead to 11.
Another stop by Indiana leads to Goode scoring in transition. 21-1 run by Indiana.
Hoosiers lead 53-40.
Rice gets called for a foul but then Purdue has an offensive foul. Evens out.
Rice finds Ballo for a score. Hoosiers still up 13.
Loyer hits a shot.
Ballo gets fouled. Mike Woodson calls a quick timeout.
Leal gets fouled on a baseline layup attempt. He hits 1 of 2.
Leal gets fouled on a defensive rebound attempt. Hoosiers in the bonus. Leal hits 1-2 free throws.
Leal picks up a foul and we go to break. Hoosiers up 57-44 with 7:41 to go.
Loyer would go 1-2 at the line out of the break.
Goode would have to burn a timeout.
Ballo gets fouled. He goes 1-2 at the line.
Rice gets a steal. Indiana would turn it over however, there was an elbow thrown by TKR. Refs will be reviewing it. Flagrant 1 called on TKR. Galloways hits the free throws.
Rice drives on the baseline and gets fouled. He extends Indiana’s lead to 16.
Loyer hits a jumper.
Reneau got called for foul on the rebound attempt. His 4th. Ballo back in.
Purdue cuts it to 10. Indiana has to find a score.
