Indiana basketball is set for their second Big Ten game of the season with a tough road trip on tap facing the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The Hoosiers are coming off a win vs Minnesota to start the Big Ten season 1-0.

The Cornhuskers enter the game with a record of 6-2 overall (0-1 Big Ten) and a 5-0 mark at home under sixth-year head coach Fred Hoiberg. Senior wing Brice Williams leads Nebraska in scoring at 17.5 points per night. Junior guard Connor Essegian adds 13.0 points per outing with a team-best 20 made 3-pointers. Senior forward Juwan Gary averages 10.6 points and 4.4 boards per game.

Tipoff is set for 8:00 p.m. ET and will be on FOX.

First half:

Indiana basketball wins the tip and here we go.

Myles Rice short on a midrange jumper. Mgbako would pick up a foul when they got back on defense.

Big Trouble: Mackenzie Mgbako just picked up 2 fouls. 19:27 left to play in the first half. Bryson Tucker checks in.

Myles Rice picks up a foul. Nebraska up 6-0.

Trey Galloway picks up a foul next.

Nebraska up 8-0.

Galloway hit a huge three. Much needed. Hoosiers down 13-3. Mike Woodson calls a timeout.

Ballo fouled. He goes 1-2 at the line.

Steal by Myles Rice and he goes the distance and get the easy bucket. He followed it up with another steal and Malik Reneau slammed it down.

Under-16 Media Timeout: Nebraska 17, Indiana basketball 10

Ballo fouled out of the break. He goes 1-2. Hoosiers down 6. Carlyle in for Rice.

Good ball movement started from Reneau to Carlyle then to Tucker for the corner three.

Indiana basketball follows it with a steal and Reneau gets fouled on the fast break. He goes 1-2 at the line. Nebraska up 2.

Cornhuskers called for the illegal screen. Tucker would miss a three to take the lead.

Goode with a shot fake on the three then fires it off and connect. Indiana basketball down 1 now.

Reneau dives for the loose ball and Nebraska fouls. Nebraska leads 19-18 with 11:48 left in the half. 

Anthony Leal checks in for Galloway.

Reneau gets fouled again. He goes 2-2 at the line and Ballo checks in for him.

Goode in Rhythm. He hits a three in transition. Hoosiers in the lead 23-19. Nebraska would answer with a three and the Ballo would get called for a travel.

Indiana basketball and Nebraska just trading three right now.

Two fouls on Kanaan Carlyle. Leal in for him. Hoosiers in major foul trouble this game.

Under-8 Media Timeout: Nebraska 29, Indiana basketball 28

Ballo blocks a Nebraska drive out of the break.

Galloway drive gets him a chance at the line. He goes 1-2. Indiana back in the lead.

Galloway misses on another drive but Ballo gets the rebound and puts it back in.

Galloway to Ballo again for the pick-and-roll ‘oop. So smooth and powerful.

Reneau back in for Ballo.

Nebraska takes the lead.

Last media timeout: Nebraska leads 40-37 with 2:32 left. 

Reneau has a trip to line out of the break. He goes 2-2. Indiana down 1.

Reneau would pick up a foul. His 2nd. Ballo back in for him.

Nebraska up 5 now. Tucker got fouled on a shot attempt. He goes 2-2.

Indiana basketball forces a turnover. 14.1 to go in the half.

Goode would miss a three. We go into the half.

At the half: Nebraska 44, Indiana basketball 41

Second Half

Nebraska with the ball and they score.

Reneau picks up his 3rd foul.

Rice steal and he gets fouled on the shot on the fast break. He goes 1-2.

Goode missed three but gets his own rebound. Mgbako miss but he gets his own rebound. Galloway knocks down the three.

Nebraska extends the lead to 6.

Mgbako gets his first points with a strong score in the paint.

Under-16 Media Timeout: Nebraska 51, Indiana basketball 47

Reneau gets to his spot and cuts the lead to 3.

Nebraska extends the lead to 9.

Rice with a couple of crafty plays on the drive and in the lane. Doing such a good job with creating tonight and playing in his bag.

Rice with a step-back three. Dude is balling.

Under-12 Media Timeout: Nebraska 62, Indiana basketball 58

Rice with another bucket. 13-straight points.

Turnover Nebraska. Tied at 64.

Reneau picks up his 4th foul.

Tucker forces a jumper but Rice steps in and takes a charge.

Nebraska leads 68-64 with 7:37 left.

Luke Goode with two huge rebounds. He is rewarded by knocking down a three. Hoosiers down 1.

Nebraska extend site lead to 5.

Timeout Indiana basketball with 4:33 left.

Nebraska drains a deep three out of the break. Back breaker.

Nebraska hits another one and they lead by 11. 3:23 left.

Reneau fouled and goes 1-2 at the line.Hoosiers down 10.

Nebraska would close this one out. Heartbreaker of a game.
