The Indiana football program heads back home for its homecoming matchup against Rutgers.

Rutgers comes into the matchup with its best start since 2014, sitting at 5-2 overall. It also has its best start in league play since 2017 with a 2-2 record.

The Scarlet Knights are one of the most fundamentally sound teams in the conference and have taken on the personality of head coach Greg Schiano.

Indiana is 2-4 on the season and have been outscored 119-27 in three Big Ten games.

“It’s going to be a challenge,” Schiano said this week about Indiana. “Go on the road in the Big Ten against a good, well-coached, talented football team. We’ve got our hands full. We’re going to have a great week of preparation because they do challenge you many ways schematically, as well as physically.”
