The Indiana football program hosted numerous major prospects last weekend and is starting to build massive momentum on the recruiting trail. After a trio of commitments from weekend visitors, the current 2025 class for Indiana ranks inside the top-25 nationally.

The headliner of the visitors was top-10 prospect Julian Lewis. This was the second visit for the No. 2 overall quarterback in the 2025 class — who visited unofficially back in February. This, however, was an official visit for the talented signal caller.

Lewis has been very open about his relationship with Indiana quarterback coach Tino Sunseri, someone he has known since his childhood. That relationship has certainly opened the door for Indiana’s involvement.

Following his visit to Bloomington, Lewis came away ‘impressed’ with the vision that Curt Cignetti and the rest of the Indiana football program had. That vision could lead to a third visit during the season — and Lewis already has a potential date in mind.

“If I do go to a game (at Indiana) it would be them vs Maryland,” Lewis told Steve Wiltfong of On3.com.

That matchup is September 28.

Lewis is as talented as they come. In two high school seasons, he’s thrown for 6,952 yards with 93 touchdowns and just 14 interceptions. This past season he had 3,094 yards with 48 touchdowns and just two interceptions, per MaxPreps.

He now has three other official visits this month, beginning with USC this weekend. He then is expected to visit Auburn and Colorado.

Lewis is still committed to USC at the moment, but Indiana, Auburn and Colorado are all heavily involved in trying to flip the talented prospect.
