The Indiana basketball program will have another major visitor later this summer as 2025 5-star guard Jalen Haralson from La Lumiere (Ind.) will return to Bloomington for an official visit.

According to 247Sports national reporter Dushawn London, Haralson has three visits on the schedule, including his trip to Indiana on Aug. 31. That is the season opener for Indiana football against Florida International.

The three visits are: Indiana on Aug. 31st, Notre Dame on Sept. 7th and Michigan State on Sept. 14th.

Haralson recently cut his recruitment to nine schools inducing: Indiana basketball, Duke, Kansas, Auburn, Purdue, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Missouri and Gonzaga.

Haralson is ranked No. 10 in the 247Sports composite rankings.

“Haralson is a big and physical guy. He handles the ball well enough to run some offense through him and that is really what he wants to do the most. He calls for the ball often and likes to operate at the top of the key where he finds driving lanes or moves the ball,” 247Sports national basketball director Eric Bossi wrote this spring. “The opportunity to play point guard is important to him on the next level, but we like him best as versatile jack-of-all trades type that can be moved around from one through three or even play some, gulp, small ball four in a small lineup. Let’s not worry so much about position here and keep in focus that he’s a solid all-around player.”

Haralson plays on the Nike EYBL circuit with Indy Heat and is having a terrific spring. He’s averaging 21.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and shooting 46.1 percent from the field.

Indiana basketball head coach Mike Woodson and his staff have been actively pursuing Haralson for the last few years and that has resulted in a handful of visits to Bloomington.

Haralson is one of the major in-state prospects that Indiana will have on campus this summer and fall. He joins in-state targets Trent Sisley and Braylon Mullins, in addition to Kentucky center Malachi Moreno, who will be taking a visit the weekend of Sept. 20.
