IU football remains unbeaten and continues to rise up the rankings, this time cracking the top-10 in the AP Top 25 rankings.
The new rankings were released on Sunday afternoon and Indiana is ranked No. 8 in the updated rankings — up five spots from last week. This comes after IU’s 47-10 win over Michigan State on Saturday.
Indiana’s 9-0 start is the best in program history and the Hoosiers have won every game by double-digits this year.
Indiana’s 55 offensive touchdowns on the season are its most since 2013, while the 31 rushing touchdowns are the most since 2001.
The Hoosiers have three games remaining — a home game against Michigan, at Ohio State and then at home vs Purdue to close the season.
“My job,” Curt Cignetti said following IU’s win on Saturday. “Is to make them the best they can be … The whole team’s got a little edge, they’re relentless. So they continue to play very consistently, never perfect, and they’re never satisfied, never satisfied.”
Indiana’s nine wins are the most in program history.
The College Football Playoff Rankings will be released on Tuesday night. At the moment, IU football has a 86.6 percent chance at making the CFP, according to ESPN’s FPI.
