The Indiana basketball program is set to host another prospect for a visit when Eastern Kentucky guard Leland Walker will be on campus on Monday.

According to IndyStar.com’s Kyle Neddenriep, Walker will visit DePaul this weekend for an official visit and then visit Indiana unofficially on Monday.

Walker spent two seasons with Eastern Kentucky and is coming off of a sophomore season where he averaged 15.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. He shot 34.2 percent from three on 1.2 made 3s a game. He also shot 83.2 percent from the free throw line on 4.2 attempts per game.

In conference play alone, Walker averaged 16.7 points and shot 38.6 percent from three on 1.4 made 3s a game.

He had 11 20+ point games, including 20 points at Alabama. He scored in double-figures in 23 of 31 games last season.

Among his more advanced stats, Walker ranked fifth in the A-Sun in assist rate, eighth in usage rate, 10th in free throw attempts and 10th in total points produced per game.

He was named a First-Team All-ASUN selection.

Walker averaged 9.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game as a freshman.

The 6-foot-1 guard has started in 32 of 68 total games played.

Walker has one of the quickest first steps with the ball in his hands. He is low to the ground and has tremendous burst and explosiveness when attacking the rim. He also has the ability to create his own shot and is a good spot up shooter as well. He plays with an extremely high motor on both ends of the floor and has great athleticism and underrated length.

Walker attended North Central (Ind.) his first three years of high school before transferring to Hargrave Military Academy during the 2021-22 season. He was the first-ever four-star recruit to sign as a freshman with Eastern Kentucky. He was rated as the No. 39 overall point guard in the country.

The Indiana basketball program has seven available scholarships for next season and currently no commits through the transfer portal or high school level.
