Indiana football landed another playmaker in the transfer portal as Pitt cornerback Ryland Gandy joined the Hoosiers on Monday.

Gandy had 40 tackles in 13 starts this past season for Pittsburgh. He had five games with at least four tackles.

Over three years, Gandy combined for 29 appearances, 13 starts and totaled 47 tackles. He saw limited action his first two years, redshirting his first season.

Indiana football beat out Michigan, North Carolina, Ole Miss and others for the coveted defensive back. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Gandy joins Louis Moore of Ole Miss and Amariyun Knighten from Northern Illinois as the defensive back commits this offseason for Indiana.

Overall, Gandy is the 17th commitment for Indiana football through the transfer portal.
