Jalen Haralson -- a key 2025 prospect for the IU basketball program -- has a decision date set for Wednesday.

The IU basketball program could be nearing another potential big time addition to its 2025 recruiting class.

Five-star prospect Jalen Haralson announced on Monday that he will be making his college decision on Wednesday. He will announce his decision at 7:00 pm ET on the 247Sports YouTube page.

After nearly every team in the country sought-out the five-star guard, his recruitment is down to IU basketball, Michigan State and Notre Dame.

Some of the other programs included in his recruitment were Auburn, Kansas, Purdue, Gonzaga, Duke and Missouri.

Haralson spent the first few years of his high school career at Fishers (Ind.) before transferring to La Lumiere (Ind.) last year.

He played for Indy Heat on the Nike EYBL Circuit this summer, putting together a terrific year. He averaged 19.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

“Haralson has always had all of the physical tools to get a lot done, but has sometimes played a bit passively,” Eric Bossi wrote this spring. “This spring he’s been significantly more aggressive on the offensive end and that continued on Friday night. The jump shot remains the biggest area where he can improve but he’s definitely shooting with more confidence than in the past and has a lot of versatility because he can play one through three. At 6-foot-7 and 210 pounds, Haralson naturally plays a physical style of basketball while initiating an offense.”

Haralson is a 6-foot-7 guard who plays both on and off the ball and has very good playing ability. He was part of the FIBA U17 Team USA World Championship team that won Gold this summer. He averaged 11.1 points per game, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

Former Heritage Hills (Ind.) and current Montverde Academy (Fla.) forward Trent Sisley committed to Indiana on Monday — becoming the first pledge for IU basketball in the 2025 class.
