While IU basketball is still trying to secure some top targets in the 2025 class, Mike Woodson and his staff have started to make traction when it comes to the 2026 high school class.

As it was announced per his Twitter page, IU basketball extended an offer to rising 2026 five-star and top three prospect Caleb Holt. Along with Indiana, Holt currently has offers from schools such as North Carolina, Kansas, Florida, Tennessee, Kansas State, Louisville, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, and many others.

Holt, a Huntsville, Alabama Native, attends Buckhorn High School as well as playing for the Game Elite program on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit. This past season for Buckhorn, he averaged 20.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.4 assists per game in route to leading his squad to the Alabama Class 6 State Championship.

With Game Elite based out of Atlanta, it is expected that IU basketball assistant coach Yasir Rosemond is involved here.

The 6-foot-5 guard/wing was also a member of the 17U USA national team we he averaged 11.1 points on 51.7% shooting. He also added 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game as well.

“Caleb has the ball in his hands a lot and has great positional size and athleticism,” Prep Hoops writer Andrew Baxley wrote. “He was frequently in attack mode, getting downhill to score at the rim or find open teammates. He plays with high energy and intensity and never takes plays off on the defensive end.”

Holt is rated No. 3 in the 2026 247Sports Composite Rankings.
