The Indiana football program came into the spring transfer window with a few specific needs, one of which being on the defensive line.

Now, Indiana is trending for one of the top available transfer defensive lineman CJ West. On Tuesday night, 247Sports national college football reporter Matt Zenitz submitted a Crystal Ball for Indiana football to land the standout pass rusher.

West, a four-year player for Kent State, has appeared in 39 games during this career and totaled 110 tackles, 19.5 tackles for a loss and seven sacks for his career.

He was a 2023 All-MAC selection and currently ranks as the top uncommitted defensive lineman and No. 10 available player in the transfer portal.

This past season West had 40 tackles, seven tackles for loss and two sacks.

His best season was in 2021 when he finished with 43 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and four sacks.

Indiana football lost Philip Blidi, LeDarrius Cox, Patrick Lucas Jr and Nick James to the transfer portal following the 2023 season.

West has one year of eligibility remaining.
