EA Sports College Football video game is making it’s long awaited return this summer and Indiana football is a part of it.
It is an exciting time if you grew up playing the college football video games as after nearly 10 years, EA Sports franchise is returning and will be available for college football fans this summer.
With the way that video games and college sports in general have adapted since NCAA 14, there expected to be multiple changes in this upcoming edition. The most important change that many fans will notice is that for the first time ever, you will be able to see the names on the back of the jerseys, something that was not possible back but is now due to NIL. According to On3.com/NIL, EA Sports contracted OneTeam Partners this past summer to manage the facilitation of NIL rights. College football athletes are free to opt into the game starting now.
According to ESPN, all college football athletes who choose opt in and have their name, image, and likeness appear in the game will receive $600 plus a copy of the game, typically valued at $70.
“We are proud that OneTeam and EA SPORTS have elected to manage college athlete video game opt-ins through our COMPASS app, which was developed from our more than 40 years of experience managing hundreds of thousands of licensing deals for collegiate institutions,” Learfield president of brand management and marketing Cory Moss said. “We are excited that our COMPASS platform will bring this long-awaited game back to college sports fans everywhere.”
Along with Indiana football, other major colleges from all conferences are expected to be featured in the game, just like in the original EA college football video game franchise which ran from 1998-2013. The video game will feature the new look Indiana football Hoosiers who will be led by brand new head coach Curt Cignetti.
Indiana football and video game fans will now have a chance to lead the Hoosiers to do something that they have never done before…to a college football championship…at least in the fictional world.
The full reveal for the EA Sports College Football 25 video game is expected to be announced this upcoming May.
