IU Football landed a commitment from 2025 linebacker Paul Nelson today he announced via X/Twitter. Nelson was previously committed to Cincinnati but decommitted earlier today before committing to Indiana.
The Ohio native committed to Cincinnati on June 9th, but a visit to Indiana helped Cignetti flip the linebacker.
Nelson also held offers from Kentucky, Michigan State, West Virginia, Illinois, and many others.

The 6-foot-2 205-pound Nelson is the No. 113 linebacker in the 2025 class and the 47th-best player in the state of Ohio according to 247Sports.
Nelson is the 20th player to commit to play for IU Football in the 2025 class and joins Jamari Farmer as the second linebacker to commit to the program in the class.
