Indiana football has dipped into the transfer portal for more offensive line help, this time from one of its former starters as Kahlil Benson commits to IU.

Benson, who played three years at Indiana, spent the 2024 season at Colorado. He started the first four games of the season for the Buffs before an injury sidelined him for a few weeks. He returned as a key member of the offensive line rotation.

He played 405 snaps in nine games, missing the other four games with injuries.

The 6-foot-6, 305-pounder played at right guard, left guard and right tackle during the 2024 season.

Benson joins Ohio State transfer Zen Michalski as the two offensive linemen to be added to the IU roster this offseason.

Benson is also the second player this offseason to transfer back to Indiana, joining defensive back Louis Moore from Ole Miss.
