The Indiana football program added to its 2025 recruiting class on Tuesday afternoon as it landed a commitment from tight end Blake Thiry.
Thiry committed to Indiana over offers from Texas Tech, Appalachian State, Ohio, Akron, UAB and others.
The Prairie Du Chien (Wi.) athlete is a standout in multiple areas, including tight end, running back, linebacker and long snapper. He had 35 receptions for 620 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 17.7 yards per catch.
He also had 1,184 yards rushing and 19 touchdowns — with a 9.8 yard per carry average. He was an All-State linebacker and tight end.
“Thiry is one of the more intriguing players in this year’s class. He plays running back, wide receiver, tight end and linebacker and is also a nationally rated long snapper. He’s being recruited primarily as a tight end right now and will also long snap at the college level. When you add in his track background, it’s a wonder he’s not being recruited at a higher level, both regionally and nationally,” 247Sports national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins wrote. “Productive on both sides of the ball and tape flashes as well. Looks natural catching the football, runs well after the catch and does a nice job tracking the ball down the field.Qualified for the State Outdoor Championships in the 110 hurdles and triple jump and State Indoor Finals in the 60m hurdles, long jump and triple jump. A stock up guy for sure and projects as a Power 5 starter at the next level.”
Thiry is 6-foot-4 and 216-pounds. he also qualified for the State Indoor Finals in track in the 60 m hurdles, long jump and triple jump. He qualified for the Outdoor Finals in the 110 m hurdles and triple jump.
He was rated the No. 11 overall prospect in Wisconsin in the 247Sports composite rankings.
Thiry is the sixth member of the recruiting class for Indiana football.
