Indiana basketball was embarrassed by Wisconsin 76-64 on Tuesday night as the Hoosiers’ winless drought at the Kohl Center continues for another year.

Indiana basketball has not won in Madison against Wisconsin since the Kohl Center opened in 1998, losing 20 straight games during that span.

Wisconsin opened the game with a massive first punch jumping out to a 26-4 lead lead behind six made threes in the first eight minutes of the game.

The Hoosiers were able to cut into the deficit as they trailed by 12 at the end of the first half but the Badgers used a strong start to the second half to grow the lead and keep the game out of reach.

Wisconsin outscored Indiana by 15 from three, making 12-29 of their attempts, while the Hoosiers made just 7-27 of their three-point attempts.

Indiana struggled to get anything going offensively shooting just 23-57 (40.4%) from the field as a team.

Freshman Bryson Tucker was one of the only bright spots for the Hoosiers, scoring nine points with six rebounds while hitting 2-3 attempts from beyond the arc.

Myles Rice added 10 points, three assists, and three rebounds while shooting 3-4 from the field in the loss.

Trey Galloway had a team-high five assists for the Hoosiers while scoring nine points.

The big man duo of Oumar Ballo and Malik Reneau struggled in the loss, combining for just 10 points on 4-9 from the field.

Luke Goode and Mackenzie Mgbako also were unable to get going in this one.

Goode finished with 11 points, five rebounds, and two steals and shot 3-9 from three. Mgbako scored 15 points and shot 1-7 from beyond the arc.

With the loss, the Hoosiers dropped to 14-9 on the season and 5-7 in Big Ten play.

Indiana basketball will look to snap their losing streak when they host Michigan on Saturday afternoon at Assembly Hall.
