Wednesday is turning out to be an extremely busy day for the Indiana basketball staff on the recruiting trail. The entire Indiana basketball staff is making multiple stops.

As sources confirmed to HoosierIllustrated.com, the Indiana staff will be visiting five-star guard Boogie Fland in New York on Wednesday morning. Then, later that afternoon, the entire staff is expected to be down at Montverde Academy (Fla.) to see five-star targets Liam McNeeley and Derik Queen, according to reports. 247Sports had the initial report of the Montverde visit.

Liam McNeeley has been the top target for Mike Woodson and the Indiana basketball staff for most of the past 12 months. He took two official visits to Indiana, including the final visit of his recruitment early in September. The entire Indiana basketball staff also visited McNeeley down at Montverde the following week. McNeeley is down to two programs; Indiana and Kansas. Kansas head coach Bill Self visited McNeeley last week.

“Their consistency has never wavered for the time that they have been recruiting me,” McNeeley told HoosierIllustrated. “I have formed good relationships with all of (the coaches).”

McNeeley is ranked the No. 13 overall prospect in the 2024 247Sports composite rankings.

Queen is also a top target for Indiana. Queen took two official visits to Indiana, both at the same time as McNeeley. He has other visits upcoming to Maryland and Houston later this month. Those two programs in addition to Indiana are the three programs involved most in his recruitment.

Queen is ranked No. 17 in the 2024 247Sports composite rankings.

Sources have indicated that a potential McNeeley commitment for Indiana could ultimately play somewhat of a role in Queen’s recruitment. While it will be a basketball decision at the end of the day, the friendship between the two holds a lot of weight. The programs that are recruiting both Queen and McNeeley are Indiana and Kansas.

“We have a great relationship. We’re brothers,” McNeeley said.
