Taking a look at the injury report for the Indiana basketball program ahead of Wednesday night's matchup with Minnesota.

The Indiana basketball program hits the hardwood for game number 30 of the 2023-24 season on Wednesday night and released its official injury report this afternoon.

The Big Ten began with its weekly availability report for football this season and announced that it would be conducting the same schedule with basketball. It was announced that programs will have to release their injury reports three hours before tip.

For Indiana, its injury report listed guards Xavier Johnson, Trey Galloway and forward Malik Reneau as ‘questionable’.

Both Johnson and Galloway have been questionable for the past two games while Reneau is a new name on the report.

After a shaky season for Johnson, he had arguably his best performance last time out against Maryland. He finished with 13 points on 5-of-7 from the floor with six assists and 31 minutes.

It was his second game back after returning from his elbow injury

“He’s a senior and I expect him to lead. That’s what seniors do, I’ve been in those shoes and I know what it’s like,” Woodson said about Johnson. “It’s been tough for him, the guy’s been hurt … It’s his last year, he can’t come back, he has nowhere else to go. So you gotta pat him, show him some love.”

In 16 games this season, Johnson is averaging 8.4 points and 2.3 assists per game this season.

“I add experience. I do a couple of things that’s head rocking, but I’m a player,” Johnson said. “I make mistakes and I’m going to try to get it right back.”

Trey Galloway is listed for the third straight game all season. The senior guard has been a staple in the lineup this season after a difficult first few years with injuries.

Galloway is averaging 10.7 points and 4.6 assists per game this season.

Last Saturday against Penn State, Galloway took numerous hits while slashing towards the basket. He left midway through the first half and was with trainer Tim Garl for the majority of his stint off the floor. It was a left foot issue that they were looking at.

He did return later in the first half, however.

He has two 12-assist games in his last five outings.

For Reneau, he has had a terrific season for Indiana but has struggled with fouls in the last few games.

In the last 10 games, Reneau has fouled out five times, with four other games with four fouls. He is averaging 4.1 fouls per game in the last 10.

Reneau has dealt with a back injury at times throughout the season.
