While the Indiana basketball program sits with the No. 2 overall transfer class in the country, it is still looking to add some additional pieces to its roster as summer rolls around.

With two open scholarships, a reserve front court player and potentially a shooter or stretch forward are the positions of need to finalize the roster.

A new name has popped up as well in UT-Martin transfer Issa Muhammad, according to a report. Cincinnati, San Diego State, Georgia Tech and Utah are some of the additional programs to reach out.

Muhammad is a 6-foot-9 and 240-pound forward who averaged 11.1 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.8 blocks per game last season. He started all 28 games he played and averaged 29.6 minutes per game.

Muhammad is an extremely effective roller and finisher in the paint. Most of his action comes on pick and roll sets or off of offensive rebounds. He was fourth in the OVC last year with an offensive rebound rate of 10.3 percent. His overall rebounding rate was 16.1 percent — fourth in the league.

He had nine double-doubles, including four games with at least 15 rebounds. He had 18 games with 10+ points.

Muhammad is not a threat from the outside, attempting just 15 3s last year and making just four.

He was a Second-Team All-OVC selection last year.

In 2022-23 at New Mexico State, Muhammad averaged 9.3 points and 4.9 rebounds a game. He started 18 of 23 games and played 24.3 minutes per game.

Before New Mexico State, Muhammad was at Northwest Florida State College, where he was ranked the No. 28 JUCO prospect in the country.

Muhammad is originally from outside of Atlanta, GA where he attended Norcross (Ga.) High School.

He has one year of eligibility remaining.
