The Indiana basketball program has another known game on its 2024-25 schedule. According to Rocco Miller, Indiana will host UNC-Greensboro on Nov. 21.
This is the fifth non-conference matchup that is known with dates. The others are:
Nov. 10 — vs Eastern Illinois
Nov. 16 — vs South Carolina
Nov. 27-29 — Battle 4 Atlantis
Dec. 3 – Sam Houston State
While a data has yet to be confirmed, Indiana will also reportedly host Chattanooga.
UNC-Greensboro finished last season at 21-11 overall and 12-6 in the Southern Conference. They played three high-major teams last season, going 1-2. They beat Arkansas on the road, lost to Vanderbilt on the road by four and then were blown out by Texas on the road.
Overall, the Spartans finished last season ranked 147th in KenPom’s ratings.
The Spartans will return their third-leading scorer Donovan Atwell, who averaged 11.2 points per game and shot 42 percent on 2.8 made 3s a game. They’ve also added Kenyon Giles, a transfer guard from Radford, who averaged 14.3 points per game last season. He had 18 points on 8-of-17 shooting against North Carolina and 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting against Clemson in two notable high-major matchups.
Indiana basketball last played UNC-Greensboro in 2014, an 87-79 win for the Hoosiers.
