Indiana basketball continues Big Ten Conference play in its 125th season of competition with the second leg of a two-game Pacific Northwest road swing against the Oregon Ducks at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 4, at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene. The Hoosiers are coming of a dominant win at Washington this past Saturday.

The Ducks enter the game with a record of 21-8 (10-8 Big Ten) under 15th-year head coach Dana Altman. Oregon is led by 13.4 points per game and 56 made 3-pointers from sophomore guard Jackson Shelstad. Senior center Nate Bittle adds 13.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game. Senior guards Keeshawn Barthelemy (10.2 points per game) and TJ Bamba (10.1) each average double-figure scoring numbers.

Tipoff is set for 9:00 pm on FS1.

Below is the full preview.

Key Indiana basketball Storylines

A win goes a long way, but a loss is not the end of the world

Indiana entered this road swing needing to at least split the games between Washington and Oregon if they wanted to stay in the NCAA Tournament race. By splitting, Indiana needed to at least beat Washington, who is the worst team in the Big Ten Conference.

The Hoosiers got a dominant win over Washington this past weekend, which means there is not as much pressure when the Hoosiers face Oregon tonight.

Indiana is facing a huge opportunity to all be solidly themselves as a NCAA Tournament team if they are able to beat Oregon tonight. This will likely be Indiana final chance in the regular season to earn yet another Quad 1 victory.

A loss vs Oregon is not going to be the end of the world by any means, as long as the Hoosiers are at least competitive. This is going to be a true test for Indiana as they to continue to be one of the hottest teams in the country.

Series History

The Hoosiers have not lost in three tries against the Ducks. All three matchups have been played in Portland as part of the Far West Classic

Indiana defeated Oregon by a score of 68-60 on Dec. 28, 1978, the last time the two programs played. Current IU head coach Mike Woodson led the way with 36 points and nine rebounds.
