Indiana basketball is back in action once again and will be looking to improve to 2-0 on the year as they host Eastern Illinois. Hoosiers are coming off a 19-point win over SIUE this past Wednesday night.

Eastern Illinois enters this game 1-1 on the year having already played a Big Ten squad, Illinois, last week.

Tip is set for 12 PM ET. The game will air on BTN+.

Pregame Notes:

Anthony Leal remains out.

Oumar Ballo is listed as questionable.

Multiple Indiana basketball players were getting an early pregame workout in including Gabe Cupps, Bryson Tucker, Myles Rice, and Kanaan Carlyle.

Ballo is playing.

First half:

Indiana basketball wins the tip and we are off.

Eastern Illinois gets on the board first with a three. Mgbako responds with a slam off a Ballo assist.

Mgbako picking up right where he left off. First five points for the Hoosiers.

Oumar Ballo up to 2 assists right now. Doing a good job of sharing the ball.

Under-16 Media Timeout: Indiana basketball 9, EIU 8

Malik Reneau gets a bucket out of the break.

Three by EIU ties it up at 11. Another three gives them the lead 14-11.

Back-to-back buckets from both Mgbako and Ballo stop the EIU run for now.

Galloway and Tucker check in for Ballo and Carlyle.

Under-12 Media Timeout: Indiana basketball 18, EIU 18

Indiana has hit their last 3 shots.

Luke Goode checks in for Myles Rice.

Indiana is really getting out and running and the defense is starting to pick up a little too. Give EIU credit for making some tough shots so far.

Luke Goode knocks down a corner three. Indiana lead is up to 25-20.

EIU takes the lead 31-30. Ballo responds and the Hoosiers have the lead again.

Mike Woodson takes a timeout at the 2:00 mark. Indiana basketball down 35-32.

EIU extends the lead by five out of the break.

At the half: EIU 37, Indiana basketball 36 

Second Half

EUI scores first out of the half. Rice gets Indiana their first points off the half.

EIU player got hurt so there was a stoppage of play for a bit.

Indiana basketball is down 43-38.

Mgbako is fouled after a strong drive off the wing. He goes 2-2 at the line.

Reneau with two strong offensive rebounds and gets rewarded with an And1. He would make the free throw.

Indiana has finally woke up. 9-0 run and lead 47-43. Two strong offensive sequences from Malik Reneau to spark this run. Have to continue to play with energy.

Mgbako steal and score out of the break.

Stoppage of play. Myles Rice got into with a EIU player. Does not look like they are reviewing however. Just a standard media timeout here.

Indiana leads 49-45 with 15:55.

Mgbako hits a three in transition. Hoosiers up 52-46.

Indiana basketball on a 16-2 run. Lead 54-45. EIU calls timeout. 14:09 left.

Tucker scores out of the break for Indiana. EIU finally hits a shot to snap this Indiana run.

Galloway fouled and he goes 1-2 at the line.

Luke Goode hits his second three thanks to a block from Ballo. Hoosiers up by 20.
