The Indiana basketball program extended a scholarship offer to 2025 center Kai Rogers on Monday, he announced on his Instagram page.
The Wauwatosa West (Wisc.) prospect is ranked the No. 95 player in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is also the No. 15 overall center in the class.
Rogers plays on for Wisconsin Playground on the UAA Circuit where he averaged 13.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game this summer.
He holds offers from Florida State, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Texas, Penn State, Marquette, Wisconsin, West Virginia and others in addition to the Indiana basketball program.
So far, he has visited Iowa State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Minnesota and others unofficially over the last year.
Rogers is a 6-foot-10 and 240-pound big man who has good touch around the rim and an expanding game. While he’s not an extremely consistent threat from the perimeter, he has shown the ability to knock down shots from 17+ feet. He’s best defensively as a rim protector and he’s a strong rebounder on both ends of the floor.
“Next for me is getting a consistent jump shot and getting my handle tighter,” Rogers told 247Sports national reporter Dushawn London. “Like I said I want to be a three or four at the next level so I need to improve my handles so I can l get to the rim against quicker guys.”
