The Indiana football program earned another offensive commitment on Tuesday as Appalachian State wideout Makai Jackson signed with the Hoosiers.
Jackson was a Third-Team All Sun Belt selection in 2024 after totaling 745 yards and five touchdowns on 46 catches. He finished his season off with back-to-back 150+ yard receiving games.
Jackson spent two seasons at App State combining for 73 catches, 1,163 yards and seven touchdowns.
The 6-foot, 200-pound wideout spent his freshman year with Saint Francis where he was teammates with current Indiana football wideout Elijah Sarratt. He led the team with 85 receptions for 991 yards and added eight touchdowns.
Indiana was in desperate need for a slot receiver as Myles Price, Ke’Shawn Williams and then Miles Cross all graduated this year.
Jackson will join a wide receiver room expected to return Sarratt, Omar Cooper and EJ Williams.
Jackson is the second addition for Indiana football on Tuesday, joining Cal transfer quarterback Fernando Mendoza and is the third this week as the Hoosiers landed Maryland running back Roman Hemby on Monday.
