The Indiana basketball program is in the middle of a huge recruiting weekend. Mike Woodson and the staff are hosting five-star prospects Liam McNeeley and Derik Queen along with four-star Curtis Givens.
All three prospects are teammates at Montverde Academy (Fla.).
The first images and videos have started coming out of the visit — after all three prospects arrived on Friday morning.
The highlight was an image with all three pointing at former Indiana basketball guard Jalen Hood-Schifino on Indiana’s ‘Pro Hoosiers’ wall. Hood-Schifino was a vital member of Montverde Academy during his junior and senior seasons, helping them win back-to-back National Championships.
He was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year last season for the Hoosiers and selected No. 17 overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of this summer’s NBA Draft.
“It’s done a lot, you know,” Woodson previously said on Hood-Schifino’s development. ” … Not to say he was a one-and-done, but he put himself in that position and was able to do a lot of nice things for our ball club and you know, our program benefited from it.”

This weekend is critical and with a decision that could come in the next month from McNeeley, it’s a weekend that can really open the floodgates for this 2024 class.
It’s also a weekend that can be a culmination of what Mike Woodson has pushed so hard for since he returned to Bloomington — but, like all things recruiting, it won’t be easy.
