2025 five-star guard Jalen Haralson lists Indiana basketball in his top 9

Indiana basketball got some great news on Friday afternoon when it comes to a key 2025 recruiting target. 2025 five-star guard Jalen Haralson announced via Joe Tipton that the Hoosiers are in his final 9 schools.

Along with Indiana basketball, Haralson listed schools such as Purdue, Duke, Kansas, Auburn, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Gonzaga, and Missouri.

Haralson, an Indianapolis (IN) native, is a 6-foo-7 lead guard that just completed his junior season a La Lumiere prep school. He played his first two seasons of high school basketball at Fishers High School (IN) before opting to transfer to La Lumiere.

Very rarely do you see a lead guard that is a true 6-foot-7 and has the elite talent that Haralson has. His passing is arguably the best thing you will see from him as he does such a great job of finding the open man and creating looks for his teammates. His scoring mostly comes from around the basket off strong drives but he also showed his improved shot making from behind the arc, one area that many thought needed improved. With as much talent that Haralson has, he is arguably the most unselfish player at this level and he just makes his teammates around him better.

Haralson has visited Indiana basketball multiple times throughout his high school career with most recently during the Hoosiers game vs Kansas.

“The fan base is what everybody looks at. A real intense fanbase,” Haraslon told Joe Tipton of On3. “They show a lot of love on visits. My brother went to school there so I’m real familiar with the campus. Coach (Mike) Woodson is a player’s coach. He listens to what players have to say and adapts. It’s kind of like family, the staff to me. I’ve known them since I was 14, eighth or ninth grade so it’s just a lot of love from Indiana.”

Haralson will be once again playing for Indy Heat as part of the Nike EYBL circuit this summer.
