2024 point guard Curtis Givens (3) stood out over the first live period and landed an offer from Indiana. (@RYZEHoops / Twitter)

In four games, Givens averaged 18.8 points, 4.8 assists and shot 40.7 percent from three. He had 19 assists to just two turnovers in 101 total minutes.

This season was Givens’ first season at Montverde Academy. He played more of reserve role and averaged 4.0 points and 2.2 assists per game in 14.7 minutes a game. He shot 36 percent from three.

Currently he holds offers from Texas, Memphis, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Maryland, Illinois, LSU, Xavier and others.

Indiana is the newest program to get involved.

“The conversation I had with Coach Ya (Yasir Rosemond) was a very good conversation,” Givens told HoosierIllustrated. “He was telling me how much he loves my game and I remind him of Jalen Hood-Schifino. And he was also saying they have a good history of good guards and how they let their guards run the show. It’s really ideal for a point guard to be in that system with being given the keys to run the offense.”

Givens has good size at the lead guard spot at 6-foot-3. He’s not going to blow you away with his athleticism but his pace and understanding of an offense is what separates him. Givens has the ability to play both on and off of the ball, but he’s best making plays for himself and his teammates with the ball in his hands. He is very effective shooting off of the catch and the dribble and that really opens up the rest of his game. He has also shown a really good ability to utilize ball screens to get into the paint.

Givens is ranked No. 63 in the 247Sports composite rankings and the No. 8 point guard in the class.

Below are his game-by-game stats from Curtis Givens’ weekend:

Game one vs Drive Nation: 10 points (4-of-10 FG / 2-of-5 3pt), 10 assists, 0 turnovers in 19 minutes.

Game two vs Indy Heat: 28 points (8-of-12 FG / 4-of-7 3pt), five rebounds, four assists, one turnover in 27 minutes.

Game three vs PSA: 28 points (9-of-18 FG / 5-of-10 3pt), four rebounds, two assists, one turnover in 29 minutes.

Game four vs Georgia Stars: 9 points (4-of-14 FG / 0-of-5 3pt), three assists, one turnover in 26 minutes.
