As the high school season starts to wind down, ton’s of high school prospects around the nation are starting to receive their accolades for a fantastic season and high school career. Indiana basketball signee Liam McNeeley is one of those players and has received some of the highest honors that a high school prospect can possibly earn.
Per Indiana basketball’s Twitter, the five-star wing has been invited to play in the 2024 Jordan Brand Classic.
This news comes just one month from when it was announced that Liam McNeeley was named a McDonald’s All-American. He is the 34th McDonald’s All-American to play for the Indiana basketball program. Currently, Kel’el Ware and Mackenzie Mgbako are the two players on the roster with the honor.
McNeeley is the fourth five-star prospect to commit to Indiana under Mike Woodson. He is the second-highest prospect to commit to Indiana since 2018.

“He does all the necessary things on and off the floor but I just like the fact that he competes. He likes to compete. He can shoot the ball. He can pass the ball. He handles the basketball. There’s a lot of quality things that he does on the floor and we’re fortunate enough to get him,” Indiana basketball head coach Mike Woodson said of McNeeley when he signed. ” … I’ll put it this way, I think he’s college ready from a physical standpoint.”
The five-star wing and Indiana basketball signee is also a part of the 2024 Naismith Midseason Player of Year watch list.
“I just think it’s going to be a major plus for our program because he can really shoot the basketball, and we don’t really have that right now,” Woodson said after signing day. “It was something missing that we needed, and we got to go out and continue to find kids who can make shots.”
McNeeley chose Indiana over Kansas, which were his final two programs. He also had offers from Texas, Michigan, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama and nearly two dozen other programs. He is expected to have an instant impact for the Hoosiers next season.
As it stands right now, McNeeley is the only signed Indiana basketball recruit for the 2024 recruiting class for Mike Woodson and the Hoosiers.
