HoosierIllustrated.com has confirmed Indiana and Timberlake are working on setting up a visit. However, we have been unable to confirm the StockRisers.com report of a visit being set in stone.

Timberlake is a 6-foot-4 wing who averaged 17.7 points per game last season while shooting 41.6 percent on 2.8 made 3s per game. As a junior, he averaged 14.4 points and shot 40.6 percent on 2.3 made 3s per game. He is a career 37.9 percent three-point shooter.

Shooting is a main priority for Indiana basketball in the transfer portal this offseason. Indiana shot 36.8 percent from three this season but ranked 353nd nationally in attempted 3s per game (15.5) and 334th in made 3s a game (5.7).

Miller Kopp, who exhausted his eligibility this season, was Indiana’s top three-point shooter at 44.4 percent on 1.8 made 3s a game. Jalen Hood-Schifino, likely off to the NBA, was second on the team in attempted 3s and shot 33.3 percent.

Timberlake has interest from North Carolina, Kansas, UCLA, Ohio State, Butler and LSU among others. He had an in-home visit with UNC earlier this week.

In five seasons at Towson, Timberlake averaged 12.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.8 steals. He shot 42 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from three on 1.9 3s per game. He was a two-time All-CAA First-Team selection.

Timberlake has one year of eligibly remaining.
