There is a new name on the Indiana basketball recruiting board. The Hoosiers extended a scholarship offer to 2024 center Patrick Ngongba of Paul IV (Va).

Ngongba is a four-star prospect in the class of 2024. He is ranked No. 67 in the 247Sports composite rankings. He is also rated as the No. 12 overall center in the class.

The Indiana basketball staff has seen Ngongba numerous times over the last two weeks of the live evaluation periods. He plays for Team Takeover on the Nike EYBL circuit.

Indiana assistant coaches Kenya Hunter and Yasir Rosemond saw Ngongba during the first period. Brian Walsh was in Arizona for the second live session last weekend. Kenya Hunter has strong recruiting ties to both Paul VI and Team Takeover.

He plays alongside current Indiana basketball target Caleb Williams on Team Takeover.

In eight games across the two live periods, Ngongba is averaging 11.5 points and 7.5 rebounds a game. He’s also shooting 83.3 percent (35-of-42) from the field. Team Takeover went 2-2 in the first session and then 4-0 last weekend.

He has two double-doubles. He also has 10 blocks in eight game.

Ngongba has offers from Kansas State, Virginia, Syracuse, Maryland, Iowa, Georgetown, Providence, Notre Dame and George Mason among others. He’s taken an official visit to Kansas State.

247Sports national analyst Brandon Jenkins broke down Ngongba’s game from earlier this spring.

“Patrick Ngongba plays for one of the top high school basketball teams in the country in Fairfax (Va.) Paul VI Catholic. Surrounded by high-major talent, Ngongba provides them with a potentially elite target on the inside. At 6-foot-10 with a wider frame, Ngongba has a polished back-to-the-basket game and owns great touch around the rim. He is skilled and his moves down low are very instinctual. While he may not post insane numbers on the high school ranks, he could project as a notable name in the college game.”
