2024 top-40 guard Jaeden Mustaf eyeing summer visit to Indiana

Class of 2024 four-star guard Jaeden Mustaf tells HoosierIllustrated.com that he is eyeing a visit to Indiana this summer.

As of right now, there is no date set in stone, but he says he is looking to visit in the middle of June.

Mustaf is ranked No. 39 in the 247Sports class of 2024 Composite Rankings. The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 15.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game this season for Carmel Christian (NC).

He is playing on the Nike EYBL circuit this summer with Boo Williams.

This weekend is the first live period for the spring and he has been phenomenal so far in two games. Mustaf opened up his live period on Friday with 19 points on 6-of-9 from the floor and three assists in a win over Indy Heat.

He followed that up with a terrific performance. He had 30 points on 9-of-14 from the field and 12-of-15 from the free throw line on Saturday morning in an eight-point loss to an extremely talented NH Lightning program.

Indiana assistant coaches Yasir Rosemond and Kenya Hunter have watched both of his games in some capacity this weekend.

Jaeden Mustaf announced a top-5 last month that included Indiana, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Miami (Fla.) and NC State. Mustaf originally had an official visit set to Indiana from September 30 – October 2 last fall but had to reschedule.

Indiana basketball assistant coach Kenya Hunter is the lead recruiter for this recruitment.

Indiana’s usage of Jalen Hood-Schifino was appealing and intriguing to Mustaf this season.

“It’s definitely something I’ve been looking at. I mean we are pretty similar in terms of size and play style and stuff and position so I feel like seeing the way he improved, I know I would improve like that too. So, that plays a part in it,” Mustaf told HoosierIllustrated of Indiana’s use of Jalen Hood-Schifino.
